My Experience Working with Eating Disorders

I have worked with clients with a range of eating disorders including anorexia, binge-eating disorder, bulimia, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder, and other unspecified disorders. I have experience guiding clients who have more mild body image concerns, disordered eating and low self-esteem as well as those have more severe eating disorders and need a higher level of care.

Ultimately, clients trust me as their therapist because I’m non-judgmental, approachable, and peaceful in my care. I understand the complexities of eating disorders as well as the impact of trauma on the development of eating disorders. I understand that the therapy relationship is key to recovery, and I work on building trust as a foundation.
